Crossing Paths

This photograph captures an aerial view of a vast salt lake in the Australian outback, with a pair of emu footprints meandering across its surface. The texture of the salt lake reveals beautiful details of the salt formations covering the surface. The tracks of the emu tell a story of their journey across the lake. The shifts in the density of the lake’s surface have caused the soft salt crust to break under their weight. You can observe a loss of definition in the tracks as they march onwards.
